Machale Sepitla

Coordinator

Machale is a public health professional who has worked with a number of non-governmental organizations, government agencies, and international agencies in the development sphere in Lesotho. During her tenure with World Vision, Machale led social inclusion activities that eased access to health care, produced jobs, and minimized violence against women in communities. She has worked closely with health workers at peripheral levels to coordinate and advocate for joint district planning and resource mobilization to scale services. With support from the Global Fund, Machale provided technical support to district management teams and local council structures to create a demand for health care via health promotion, community mobilization, and mentoring.  Most recently she has ventured into supporting the government of Lesotho’s Ministry of Health in advancing Human Resources for Health initiatives. Among some of the other projects she is involved in are the optimization of the health workforce and the valuation of the Community Health Worker cadre.
